As reported, the Thai government had revealed weapon smuggling to Aceh. Wimar said, it means that the government had played no part in weapons smuggling to Aceh. He explained later that the Thai government was investigating the smuggling activities in detail. However, the Indonesian government cannot announce the results of its investigations yet, as it is an internal investigation of the Thai police.
Indonesia, Wimar said, had also informed that the separatist movement in Aceh has been using Thailand as a place for transit. It is a risk that Thailand is exposed to because of its relatively open borders: "Anyone may enter Thailand, and surely an information about someone to be monitored is given based on the data," Wimar said.
After the working visit to Thailand, the President was scheduled to visit Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, to deal with reforestation programs there.
